Jeremy Yaffe is a retired nurse and the first wife of Alan Arkin an American actor, director, and musician.
The former couple couple were married from 1955–1961. They had two sons. Adam was born in 1956 and Matthew was born in 1960.
Alan Arkin passed away on June 29 2023. Arkin’s death was confirmed to PEOPLE in a statement by his three sons. “Our father was a uniquely talented force of nature, both as an artist and a man,” they said.
“A loving husband, father, grand and great grandfather, he was adored and will be deeply missed.” Despite his death being confirmed, an exact cause was not provided.
Alan Arkin’s acting career began in the late 1950s, and he gained recognition for his performances in theater, film, and television. Some of Alan Arkin’s notable film roles include “The Russians Are Coming, the Russians Are Coming” (1966), “Catch-22” (1970), “The In-Laws” (1979), “Little Miss Sunshine” (2006), for which he won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor, and “Argo” (2012), which won the Academy Award for Best Picture.
