The veteran actor’s cause of death has been revealed to be due to natural causes. Given his medical conditions and his old age, he passed away peacefully at his residence.
Metrano had broken his neck and seriously injured his spinal cord after falling off a ladder while working on his house in September 1986.
The incident had left him quadriplegic, a condition of the partial or total loss of use of all four limbs and torso. Impressively, he later regained the use of his arms and legs and walked short distances with the help of crutches.
He regularly used a motorized wheelchair till his last moments as seen on his son’s shared pictures.
