Adam Douglas Driver is an American actor. He has received several awards, including the Volpi Cup for Best Actor, as well as nominations for the Tony Award, two Oscars and four Primetime Emmy Awards. Driver made his Broadway debut in Mrs. Warren's Profession and later appeared in Man and Boy. He rose to fame for a supporting role in the HBO - Comedy Girls television series, which he received three consecutive Primetime Emmy Award nominations. Driver began his film career with supporting roles in Steven Spielberg's Lincoln, Noah Baumbach's Frances Ha, Coen Brothers' Inside Llewyn Davis, and Martin Scorsese's Silence. He won the Volpi Cup for Best Actor for a lead role in the Hungry Hearts television series and played a poet in the Jim Jarmusch film Paterson. Driver gained more recognition for playing Kylo Ren in the Star Wars trilogy. In 2019, he returned to the theater with Burn This, for which he was nominated for the Tony Award for Best Actor in a play.
