Porter Weston Robinson is an American DJ, record producer, musician and singer from Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Her first full studio album, Worlds, was released in 2014 and reached number one on Billboard's Best Dance / Electronic Albums. Robinson began releasing music under the alias Virtual Self in 2017, with the EP name Virtual Self released that same year. Robinson was nominated for the 2019 Grammy Award for Best Dance Record for the single "Ghost Voices". At the first Electronic Music Awards 2017, he was nominated respectively for single of the year and live actor of the year, along with Madeon, for the singles "Shelter" and Shelter Live Tour. His other accolades include 5th on the 2013 DJ Times Best DJ in America, 7th on the Billboard 21 under 21 list, topping InTheMix's 25 Under 25 list. Mag Top 100 DJ list for seven consecutive years.
