Bruce Charles Arians is an American football coach and head coach of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers of the National Football League. Prior to that, he was head coach of the Arizona Cardinals from 2013 to 2017. Arians was also interim head coach of the Indianapolis Colts during the 2012 season. Outside of the NFL, he was head football coach at Temple from 1983 to 1988. He was known with the slogan "No risk, no cookies", encouraging an aggressive style of play. As an attacking assistant for most of her coaching career, Arians held her first NFL head coaching position with the Colts when head coach Chuck Pagano received treatment for the leukemia. As interim head coach of Indianapolis for 12 weeks, the Arians led a team to a 2--14 record last season with a 9-3 record, earning them a playoff spot. . Arians was named the AP NFL Coach of the Year for the season and was the first interim head coach to receive this honor.
