Charlie Woerner Parents Kent Woerner And Kathie Woerner

Charlie Woerner parents Kent Woerner and Kathie Woerner raised the tight end in Tiger town in Georgia. Charlie has six siblings in the family.

Charlie is an American football tight end from Georgia. He plays for the National Football League team, the San Francisco 49ers.

He attended Georgia during his collegiate football career. The 49ers selected him in the sixth round of the NFL Draft in 2020. Woerner played at Georgia after graduating from Rabun County High School.

Although he was mainly listed as a blocking tight end and never saw the field often during his college career between 2016 and 2019. The 49ers put Woerner on the reserve list before December 19, 2020. The 49ers then reactivated the 22-year-old player on the squad on December 29.

Standing at 6 feet 5 inches and weighing 241 lb, he is among the most promising football prodigies at 22. The wide receiver has a career record of eight receptions and eighty-eight receiving yards.

Charlie Woerner dad Kent played college football at Furman University. 

The couple spent a brief time in Atlanta before settling in Tigers, where they raised their kids. 

Kent was a decent football player on his own. At 6-foot-3, he was taller and two years older than his brother Scott, and he was the first to secure a full scholarship for college among the three siblings.

He was talented enough to be given a free-agent tryout by the New York Giants. He played fullback and noseguard at Furman University before he was selected for a tryout.

Although he was a great player, he has tried his luck out of the sports. Based on his LinkedIn profile, Kent is a Principal at Rabun County. In addition, Kent ran as a Republican for the Georgia House of Representatives District 8 in 2016.

Kent flew back and forth between Rabun, Union, and Town counties to Atlanta for the past few months to campaign and engage in politics. He was up against David Barton, Matt Gurtler, and Joshua Littrell in a competitive field.

Kent was named the president of Georgia Association of Community Service Boards (GACSB). Kent and Kathie are usually seen during Charlie’s games. Moreover, they attended Charlie’s wedding in June 2020 in Jeter Mountain.

Charlie Comes From A Family Of Nine

Charlie has nine members in his family. Charlie grew up with his six siblings in their home in Georgia.

In addition, he is the little brother of a big mountain tribe, conveniently spaced out by two to three years.

During a recent Rabun County High School interview, he claimed that he doesn’t regard any professional or collegiate athletes as his role model. Instead, he has always admired his older brothers.

The 22-year-old player’s household consists of some best hunters in Tigers. They love to fish and hunt during their free time. Kent, a retired educator, and his brother Scott have brought the tradition to their younger generation.

He Has Three Brothers

Charlie has three brothers in the household. They grew up playing football and other sports together. 

His brother Allen Woerner played as tight end and Defensive Lineman at Rabun County High School. He played with jersey number #80 before he graduated in 2007. Allen had a national ranking of 10,028 and a Georgia ranking of 283 during his high school career.

Based on his LinkedIn profile, Allen is currently working as Lead Technical Integration Specialist at Tilled, Inc. He has previously worked as Project Implementation Specialist at Miles Technologie.

Allen was the Director of IT at Ocean 10 Security, LLC, and Partner and Project Manager at Boaz Media & Network Solutions. 

He did his Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Computer Science from Mars Hill University in 2011, where he also played football. Likewise, he completed high school at Rabun County High in 2007.

In addition, he was the coach at Rabun County High & Middle School football team between 2011 and 2016.

Charlie’s older brother Peter Woerner also played football briefly. With a height of six feet, he played as a Defensive Line for LaGrange panthers after playing for Rabun County High. 

Peter was a member of an all-region team in football and was voted offensive team captain in high school. He played nine games with one start and six tackles in 2011.

Similarly, his brother Jack Woerner is Social Studies Teacher at Rabun County High School. Based on his LinkedIn profile, he completed his Bachelor of Arts in Social Studies Teacher Education from Brevard College in 2015. 

He participated in collegiate football and was the starter for years. Moreover, he was selected as the team’s captain.

He Has Three Sisters

Charlie has three sisters in the family. Racheal and Sally are the elders, and Lucy is the younger sister.

Rachael is currently 33, and Sally is 24. Similarly, Lucy is currently 19.

Sally has pursued her career in athletics as well. She is a Heptathlon, a 7-event athletic contest; she’s on a track scholarship and runs multi-events at Western Carolina.
