Chris Sarandon is an American actor. He is known for his roles in the films Fright Night, Child’s Play, The Princess Bride, and as the voice of Jack Skellington, in The Nightmare Before Christmas.
His father was born in Istanbul, in the Ottoman Empire, and was of Greek descent. His mother was born in Virginia, to parents also of Greek descent, who were from the island Halki, then in the Ottoman Empire, now in Greece. His family’s surname was originally Sarondonethes.
Chris is married to actress and singer Joanna Gleason. He has three children with his former wife Lisa Ann Cooper. Actress Susan Sarandon, who was his first wife, still uses his surname.
Chris’s paternal grandfather was named Ioannis/John Sarandon.
