Gaudencio Borbon Rosales is a Roman Catholic cardinal who served as Archbishop of Manila, succeeded Jaime Sin in 2003, and succeeded Luis Antonio Tagle in 2011. As Premier of the Ecclesiastical Province of Manila, he is the 31st Archbishop of Manila and the fourth native. Filipinos hold this post, after centuries of filmmaking in Spain, America and Ireland. During his final year as Archbishop, he was simultaneously Apostolic Superintendent of the Diocese of Pasig from December 21, 2010 to April 20, 2011, a post he received after Bishop. Pasig's First Entry, Francisco San Diego, resigned.
