Holland Virginia Taylor is an American actress and playwright. She won the 1999 Primetime Emmy Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Television Series for her role as judge Roberta Kittleson on ABC's The Practice. For her role as Evelyn Harper in the CBS comedy Two and a Half Men, she received a total of four Primetime Emmy Award nominations. Taylor's other notable TV credits include starring in the sitcoms Bosom Buddies, The Powers That Be, and The Naked Truth. She has also appeared as Jill Ollinger in the soap opera All My Children, as Peggy Peabody on The L Word, and as Ida Silver in Mr. Mercedes. In 2020, she received extensive critical acclaim and was nominated for the eighth Primetimemy Award for her role as Ellen Kincaid in Netflix's Hollywood miniseries.
