Santan Dave was born on June 5, 1998, to Nigerian parents of the Edo ethnic group in the Brixton neighborhood of South London’s Angell Town.
His mother, Juliet Doris Omoregie, is a nurse, and his father, Frank Omoregie, is a preacher. Benjamin and Christopher, his two elder brothers, are eight and five years older than him, respectively.
When Dave was just a few months old, his father was deported to Nigeria owing to visa complications; he had thought he was traveling on a missionary visa but was really on a visitor’s visa.
Due to her own fear of deportation, Dave’s mother was forced to depart with his siblings, and they weren’t reunited with him until three months later.
