John Gerald Geddert is an American gymnastics trainer, former head coach of the 2012 United States Women's Olympic team, and regular trainer of Jordyn Wieber. He retired from the suspension from USA Gymnastics in 2018 after being embroiled in a sexual abuse scandal in USA Gymnastics which involved his longtime partner Larry Nassar. Geddert died of suicide in 2021, shortly after being charged with 24 counts, including 20 counts of child trafficking, a felony of first degree sexual assault and sexual assault. The second level offense involves minors and lying to a peace officer.
