Maurenzo Smith Was Murdered At A Seafood Restaurant: What Exactly Happened To Huston Boxer?

Maurenzo Smith, a professional boxer from Houston, Texas, is reportedly shot dead by his alleged girlfriend’s estranged husband.

Heavyweight journeyman was shot multiple times and murdered on Wednesday morning at a restaurant in Texas.

Smith, 44, was scheduled to fight the following week in Colombia, the location of seven of his previous eight fights.

Smith, who went by the pseudonym T. Diddy, had triumphed in his previous eight matches. Smith had fought notable heavyweights in his most famous fights, including Chris Arreola, Adam Kownacki, Shannon Briggs, Andy Ruiz, and Charles Martin.

Smith never managed to defeat one of those more well-known fighters, but in 2013, he scored an eight-round majority draw with Vinny Maddalone, the heavyweight favorite in New York.

Obituary: What Happened To Maurenzo Smith? Murder And Death

According to numerous news sources, the boxer who won his first heavyweight boxing championship on Showtime was shot dead on Wednesday morning at a restaurant in Texas.

The 28-year-old female friend of the heavyweight boxer was there to help her complete the terms of her divorce from her 61-year-old husband when they were at Houston’s Crab Station Oyster Bar.

The 61-year-old guy and Smith had a conversation before the man departed and returned with a gun, shooting Smith several times.

The suspect is now being kept on life support.

Promoter for the Hall of Fame Lou DiBella referred to Smith’s death as “another needless shooting.” “Maurenzo fought for me a few times, including maybe the best bout of his career against Vinny Maddalone,” matchmaker Ron Katz wrote on Twitter. Hearing this terrible news has stunned and saddened me greatly.

What Happened Between Maurenzo Smith Girlfriend And Her Ex-Husband?

Maurenzo Smith was in an open relationship with his girlfriend despite her having a husband. She had an estranged husband, and they were already living separately.

Reports say that her 61-year-old husband did not like the pair’s connection. And he certainly did not entertain the divorce approval.

The 28-year-old female companion of the heavyweight boxer was there to finalize the terms of her divorce from her 61-year-old spouse when they were at a seafood restaurant in Houston.

61-year-old man and Smith had been talking for about 20 minutes when the man left and came back with a gun, shooting 13 bullets and hitting Smith many times. At the scene, he was identified as dead. There were no other shootings at the restaurant.

The shooter later fled in his car. Then, when the alleged was about to be arrested, he shot himself.

But the police saved him, and he is currently on life support. The family has denied reports that the woman was his girlfriend.

Kathy Smith, a witness, claimed that she was about to enter the restaurant with her daughter for lunch when she was shot.

And I’m like, “Oh (bleep)!” she said, according to KHOU-11.

“Somebody got shot,” I exclaimed.

The man was already on the ground…dead…when we turned around.

Where Are Maurenzo Smith Daughters And Family?

Maurenzo Smith’s cheerful nature was recalled by his family, who expressed their sorrow and described him as a “really kind, caring guy.”

Ida Carter, Smith’s sibling, claimed that Smith was “always wanting to help, and that’s what ended up with him in the circumstance.”

Despite other publications and the Harris County Sheriff’s Department describing them as a couple, a relative claims Smith and the woman had just met last Friday, and they swear he was not romantically involved with her.

As far as a romantic relationship between a boyfriend and a girlfriend, there was none, according to Carter.

The boxer’s father said his son was attempting to defend a person.

The father told KHOU-11, “That’s not his job; it shouldn’t have been him.” We must end the killing because it happened; it is awful.
