During college, Ryan was a meteorologist at WPSU, Penn State’s student-run television station. In addition, he spent time as a winter weather hazard forecaster for the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation in 2016. He also served as the president of Penn State’s Campus Weather Service for one year in 2015 and was the head of communications in 2014.
