Woody T. Blackburn is a retired American professional golfer who competed on the PGA Tour in the 1970s and 1980s. Blackburn was born in Pikeville, Kentucky. He attended the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida, where he played for coach Buster Bishop's South Florida Gators from 1972 to 1975. Blackburn is a member of the 1973 Gators Southeastern Championship team and the NCAA Championship golf team, along with future PGA Tour golfers Phil Hancock, Gary Koch and Andy Bean. Blackburn was the second team chosen by the All-SEC and the all-American team in the Gators' championship season. He received a BA in Journalism in Florida in 1973 and turned pro in 1975. Blackburn's first victory after turning pro was in 1976 at the Walt Disney World Teams Championship with teammate Billy Kratzert.
